We work hands-on with a small number of clients. After a short call, you will hear a clear yes or no.

Who we work with Builders – AI teams shipping AI products.
Backers – investors, incubators, and accelerators funding them.

Result

Ship faster, with governance built in.

Turn AI Act expectations into product decisions, evidence trails, and the trust signals enterprise buyers and investors reward – without slowing delivery.

  •     Risk posture you can explain in any room
  •     Evidence plan that fits your roadmap
  •     Procurement-ready answers, by next quarter

What we do

Stop treating governance as a blocker; treat it as a quality signal. At AIffect, we help you change how you think about governance – reframing it from liability management to competitive advantage, from compliance burden to product design input.

Designed For

For AI builders SPRINT

Readiness Assessment

A fast, practical assessment that clarifies your risk posture and the shortest path to EU-ready credibility.

  •     Risk-tier hypothesis + assumptions
  •     Evidence plan (what to show, not what to write)
  •     Prioritised roadmap for high-stakes areas
For AI builders WORKSHOP

Team Enablement

Workshops and working sessions to embed governance into product operations without slowing delivery.

  •     Templates your team will actually use
  •     Review points and ownership (lightweight cadence)
  •     Definition of done for higher-stakes features

How we work

We work in tight loops with the people who own product decisions. You leave with a clear risk posture, a practical plan, and a lightweight governance spine that fits your delivery cadence - without turning your team into a documentation factory.

The phasing is the same; the cadence differs. Builders engage across product cycles. Backers engage transaction by transaction, or at fund-wide checkpoints.

Fit

Align decision owners, constraints, and what ‘good’ looks like for your product.

Typical Outputs
  •     Scope and success criteria
  •     Exposure hypothesis
  •     Engagement plan

Map

Map your use cases to EU AI Act logic and the expectations you'll meet in diligence or procurement.

Typical Outputs
  •     Risk-tier hypothesis
  •     Decision log structure
  •     Evidence plan

Build

Embed templates, routines, and review points into product operations - built for momentum.

Typical Outputs
  •     Documentation skeletons
  •     Evaluation and monitoring checkpoints
  •     Definition of done (high-stakes features)

Sustain

Keep it current as your product and expectations evolve - light-touch steering when it matters.

Typical Outputs
  •     Governance cadence
  •     Quarterly refresh
  •     On-demand decision support

Who we are

We built AIffect because we kept seeing the same pattern on both sides of the table: AI teams with weak governance answers, and AI investors with no good way to assess them. We bring together product-strategy thinking, European regulatory fluency, and operational experience from EU and UN programmes on AI, digitalisation, and regulatory governance; and we work with only a small number of clients where that combination matters most.

Judgement-first. AI-augmented.

Notes

At AIffect, we work with a small number of clients at a time. Every engagement is senior-led, there is no team behind us handing off the work to. If there is a fit, you will hear a clear yes or no quickly.

If you build or invest in AI products that touch EU markets, probably. Our work splits roughly evenly between AI builders (founders, product teams, scale-up SMEs) and AI backers (VCs, incubators, growth investors). If you are somewhere else on the value chain, send a brief and we will tell you quickly.

Legal counsel protects your liability. We protect your momentum. We translate regulatory requirements into product decisions, evidence plans, and operational routines – working alongside legal counsel where needed, not instead of it. Our output is a governance approach your team can sustain; not just another document detached from your operational realities.

Because trust is becoming measurable. In Europe, the Brussels Effect shapes expectations beyond the EU - and investors and buyers increasingly reward teams that can explain their systems, show credible controls, and reduce unpleasant surprises.

Yes. We run portfolio clinics that map AI Act exposure across your active investments, flag urgent remediation cases, and feed your Limited-Partner and Investment Committee reporting. We can also support single-targeted pre-investment diligence on a transaction timeline.

Technical DD validates the product. AI Act DD validates the deal – whether the target's risk classification, evidence trail, and governance maturity will survive enterprise procurement, acquirer scrutiny, and supervisory attention. Different question, different output.

We are based in Berlin (DE) and work remotely with clients across Europe and internationally. Where it makes sense, we work on-site with you and your team – particularly for workshops and decision-intensive sessions.

Make trust a competitive advantage.

Hands-on advisory for AI builders and AI backers navigating EU AI governance. We help you embed governance into your product design, making it part of your product strategy.
